Event: KPMG Ball

With my boyfriend Saul

Over the weekend I attended the KPMG Ball at Melbourne's Crown Casino. The Paladium Ballroom was decked out with beautiful candle sticks and rich gold fabrics as entertainers walked around in traditional 1700s period costumes to fit with the Armadeus theme. Guests were entertained with a dance performance choreographed by Jason Coleman from So You Think You Can Dance, a live band and DJ. 

I was lucky enough to have my hair done by the lovely and talented make-up artist Miss Aimmey. She amazingly managed to get my normally straight hair to stay in beautiful curls the whole night! 

The night was a great success, with many people dancing on through the night at the after parties.

Fashion Event - Myer SS 11/12 International Footwear and Handbag Preview

With Spring just around the corner, Myer hosted an evening to present their new International Spring/Summer 2011 Footwear and Handbag collection. 

Guests were treated to champagne and canapés while they browsed the new range. General Manager for Footwear and Accessories, Joanne Mercer and Group General Manager of Fashion and Accessories, Judy Coomber spoke about the key looks for this season. Expect to see plenty of bright colours and studded detailing.



This season sees Balmain handbags being available for the first time at Myer. In footwear, new brands include Balmain, Stephene Kelian and Rupert Sanderson.

Fashion Event - Hussy 2012 Spring/Summer Preview

Last week, HUSSY hosted an exclusive preview of the 2012 Spring/Summer Enchanted Collection launch in Melbourne. To celebrate the new collection, HUSSY designer Marie Ritchie flew down especially for the occasion from Sydney.

Started by Marie when she was only 21 in 1995, HUSSY has defied tough retail conditions to establish itself a loyal following in the Australian market. The new Enchanted Collection, inspired by enchanted gardens, was made with with embellishments, exotic prints and light floaty fabrics in beautiful jewel tones. To keep with the theme, the HUSSY store in Melbourne's GPO was beautifully decked out to make the guests feel like they were in an enchanted garden. 

The range was really extensive with items to suit every budget. Each of the HUSSY pieces are not mass produced which is great for consumers who don't want to look like everyone else! Guests were treated to champagne and canapés, and the lovely Marie spent time talking to all the guests as they previewed the beautiful pieces.
